I don’t know what kind of commie socialism is going on over there, but it sure is inspiring. In order to conserve significant amounts of energy and reduce CO2 emissions, the European Union legislated a gradual phase out of energy inefficient bulbs (or lamps, as they like to call them).
So, being lightbulb people, Philips Consumer Lighting created a site to educate consumers about energy saving bulbs, the details of the legislation, and how much money you would save using the bulbs. Green for Mother Earth = green for your pockets.
